For over fifteen years, BuildMyServer has been committed to the principle of sustainability through the reduction of electronic waste. This core value guides our Sustainability Pledge principles:

• Our commitment to evaluate every piece of technology that comes through our warehouse to ensure that we are only recycling parts that do not have any resale value or other potential use. We strive to find a use for every component designated for trash. For example, we’ve “upcycled” server chassis to use as table bases and have upcycled voltage regulator modules for business cardholders.

• Our commitment to responsibly recycle anything that cannot be resold on the secondary market, divesting tons of IT hardware and hazardous materials from landfills.

• Our commitment to sustainability through our warehouse and production operations by our continued practice of recycling all cardboard, mixed paper & recyclables, and wood.

We are R2: Responsible Recycling certified – the leading global certification standard for the electronics reuse and recycling industry, created with guidance by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
